Sarah Perkins

Skills: Editing, proofreading.

Subjects: Finance, business, music, craft.

Types of publication: Corporate communication, marketing materials, contracts and other legal documents, websites, presentation packages, training materials, reports, and books (including self-publishing).

About me:  I have a business background, having worked with all sizes of organisation from corner shops and market traders to Aviva and Yorkshire Television. This has shown me the importance of focusing on what matters to the end-user. It has also shown me how quickly cosmetic details can undermine credibility.

Although I have specialist areas, I have worked with clients all over the world on all sorts of materials. Recent projects have included work on a book about submarines, a newsletter for a shipping company, and a website for a collector of bank notes.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and have over 25 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. I have a City and Guilds Diploma in Hand Knit Design, and sing in several choirs.
