About me: I am a proofreader and editor who helps organisations, businesses and independent authors to feel confident that their text is clear, consistent, fit for purpose and ready for the outside world.

Before becoming a freelance proofreader, I spent 30 years working in the private, public and third sectors in a variety of roles and this gave me significant experience of writing, proofreading and editing a wide range of business documents and content.

Since going freelance, I have worked with a range of clients including businesses, not-for-profit organisations, marketing agencies, magazine publishers, non-fiction publishers and independent authors. I also enjoy working with authors where English is a second or additional language.

I am an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and work to their code of practice.

I have completed professional proofreading training with the Publishing Training Centre and the CIEP and I have a BSc (Hons) in Information Science.
