About me:

I provide proofreading, language editing and proof-editing services. I’m happy to take on most projects, and offer subject specialisms in English Language Teaching (ELT), English as a Foreign/Second Language (EFL/ESL) and fiction. My clients value the peace of mind that comes through using my services that their work is error-free, clear, unambiguous, consistent and their credibility isn’t compromised.

I have a life-long love of reading, which naturally led me to a BA Hons in English Literature. I’m very sensitive when working with an author on their manuscript; retaining their style and voice is one of my key priorities. I make sure the story has been given a final tidy and shine to make it ready for publication.

Leading up to my editing life, I worked in the UK and overseas for a number of years, predominantly in South East Asia. I taught English, developed teachers and went on to become an academic manager. I’m also currently an experienced speaking and writing examiner for a major suite of international English exams. I’m very comfortable and familiar with a wide range of teaching resources in terms of their content and usability.

I trained with, and am an intermediate member of, the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders (CIEP). I adhere by their Code of Practice.
