About me: I have worked as an editor and proofreader for the last 30 years. I worked first on local and family history books for Phillimore in Chichester and more recently on academic and popular publications for York Archaeological Trust. I have been a freelance editor and proofreader since 2004. Clients include the Council for British Archaeology, English Heritage, the North York Moors National Park, JORVIK, the Yorkshire Museum, the Vernacular Architecture Group and the Historic Towns Trust.
I can edit, proofread and restructure/organise any arts and humanities subject matter and have myself written four books on medieval buildings in York. I also have experience of working on dissertations for university students for whom English is not their first language.
